The main activities of the Group have always been in
the agricultural sector of the economy. Recent expansion has led the
Company to place emphasis on the creation of synergy in the following
areas:
- Purchases from farmers to accomodate increased volumes for the exports market.
- Import of agricultural products, such as wheat, milk powder, wheat flour, lentils, rice, jute bags and other similar products.
- Launching of our own services such as Cleaning & Hulling plant to secure the quality of our products and the Commodore Transport Company to ensure efficient and timely flow of our products.
- Acquisition of Agencies for marketing of the reputable Massey Ferguson range of products.
| Group Financial Scenario The Group's trading account has shown a steady
growth over the years. The Group has a strong Balance Sheet. All the
business activities have recorded double digits growth in the last 3
years, and show great potential for further improvement. Imports of
wheat, exports of sesame seeds and the Massey Ferguson line of

SILOS PROJECT There is significant gap in the Country between
the existing and the demand capacity to satisfy the Government aim
of food self-sufficiency in the Country. The plant is necessary to
receive and process both imported and exported grains. The Group is
currently using external storage facilities for the wheat. The silos
project will be located in Port Sudan to handle all Group's
requirements and will be able to sell spare
capacity. |
The feed mill will be installed in Khartoum with annual
capacity of 100,000 tons to process livestock and Poultry feed for
commercial purposes. Sudan produces five main feed rations - broilers, egg
layers, sheep and cattle fattening, Dairy cows. The Mill will be able to
meet local exports demands.
